Photography Policy at Queen Creek Botanical Gardens

We welcome guests to take casual, non-posed photographs for personal enjoyment. Visitors are encouraged to capture images of the gardens, plants, and their companions during their visit.

Photography Sessions

Photography sessions require a Photo Pass for all posed photography activities and subject to the rules and guidelines below. All proposals, bridal, and wedding photo sessions must be scheduled through our partner wedding venue (CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFO).

For all other photography sessions, please continue reading: Photo Passes are requirements include any scenario where a photographer (whether amateur or professional, using any device, such as cameras or mobile phones) takes a series of staged photographs featuring subjects within the scenic backdrop of the gardens.

  • Advance Reservations Required: All photography sessions must be arranged in advance. Photo Pass requests must be submitted a minimum of one week prior to your desired session date. Same-day requests will not be processed. Walk-in sessions or unscheduled appointments are not allowed.
  • Cancellation Policy: A 50% non-refundable scheduling fee will apply to any cancellations.

Important Restrictions

  • The use of a Queen Creek Botanical Gardens photo pass for proposal, bridal, or wedding photography is strictly prohibited.
  • NOTICE: The gardens are under video surveillance at all times. 
  • Entering a wedding venue under false pretenses to perform a ceremony (i.e., proposal, vows, wedding, etc.)  is a Class 2 misdemeanor in Arizona, per Arizona Revised Statutes § 25-128. The unauthorized person will be subject to criminal charges which may include up to $3,000 in fines, jail time, civil lawsuits for fraud, breach of contract, and damages from the affected parties. If you want to do a proposal or perform a ceremony of any kind, please get the proper authorization to do so in advance.   
  • Guests conducting these sessions without a confirmed booking through our partner wedding venue may be asked to leave without refund.
  • Commercial photography or videography is not permitted without prior approval and written authorization.
